Wanna Bet?

So, the Worst Day Of My Life has officially gotten even worse.

Yesterday, I encouraged the Hubs to call his father, since it was Veteran's Day, and his dad was a Gulf War vet.  (I don't know why I come up with these ridiculous stupid crazy ideas)  He called and left a message.  Yesterday evening on his way home, the Hubs received a call from his family.

He answers the phone, and the first thing is SIL saying "Mom asked me to dial the phone," and passes the phone on to MIL (not sure why a 30-year-old woman is excited about being the one who has to dial the phone).  MIL and FIL talk to the Hubs for a little while.  Of course, the topic of Faux Thanksgiving comes up, and the parents ask when the Hubs and I will be showing up for said event.

This is where the Worst Day Of My Life gets worse.

Hubs tells them that I have a doctor's appointment that Sunday morning (because visiting a medical professional on a weekend doesn't send up any red flags or anything), and we would probably get there earlier in the afternoon (as opposed to later in the morning).

Well.  This just sends MIL into a TIZZY of questions.  Of course.  Would you expect anything less?

As the Hubs is telling me all this, I am looking him like the lunatic he is, and shouting things along the lines of: "Great, now this is officially the WORST DAY OF MY LIFE", "I can't beleive you told them it was a DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT", and "You couldn't have said WE'LL JUST BE LATE, and LEAVE IT AT THAT?"

So now there is $100 on the line.  Hubs wins the money if MIL doesn't ask any questions.  He has already planned to purchase 2 PS3 games with his winnings.

Fool.

Since we all know that is ridiculous, what do you think I should do with my $100 prize?
