My Personal Hell, Part 1

Happy Sunday Morning, friends! I hope everyone is enjoying sleeping in, or church this morning. I, sadly, did not have the opportunity to do either.

**WARNING**
This is a totally TMI post. I am about to overshare in a major way. Sorry.

I had my doctors visit this morning. I should have immediately recognized trouble when I couldn't get into the building. I had to call the receptionist to give me the passcode for the security keypad. The actual test wasn't bad at all, and the nurse did a wonderful job of putiting my fears to rest. It was a lot like a pap smear. I was a little worried, since there were some, um, problems last night.

Newsflash: drinking impacts your sexual performance, gentlemen.

So, anyway. We ended up doing what we needed to do last night, and the doctor (who isn't even my regular doc - it was the on-call doc) got what he needed this morning. Then I had a fabulous visit with everyone's favorite, the internal ultrasound machine. Well. I have two (that's all?!? TWO?!?) follicles on the left, and nada on the right. It's cool, it gets better. Each of these two follicles is measuring about 10 mm. Isn't that super? Yea it is, especially when they need to be around 20 mm a piece. The doctor assured me that perhaps actual peak time for me was perhaps a few days out. Unfortuantely, as things stand now, nothing is "ready to go". I am to call my regular doctor tomorrow morning to see how he wants to proceed (should I be monitored for the next few days? More blood tests? Etc.)

Don't worry though. The doctor sat down to assure me that he believed the test results were super. In fact, I think he referenced the "seven gajillion" (I cannot imagine that is the proper medical estimation) swimmers he found, and he was almost blown away by that. Awesome.

So, that's where we are right now. Everything with me is up in the air, and we have to adopt a wait and see attitude. But the Hubs? Well someone should throw him a God damn ticker tape parade because his swimmers are so fucking fabulous.

Let's not forget other fun happenings today...

We're currently en route to Crazytown right now, so that's fun too. Our ETA is about noon - something to look forward to! Let's hope I am able to fight the urge to jump from the moving vehicle and throw myself on to the middle of I-95.
