Happy Thanksgiving

Time for an obligatory Happy Thanksgiving post!

I don't really have too much to write about, so I will fill you in for my plans for the weekend, along with some randomness.

Since Thanksgiving officially kicks off tonight, I am looking forward to meeting with some friends and drinking a little, but not too much - remember, another doctor's appointment tomorrow morning.  And we don't want another repeat of last time.  So, after tomorrow's appointment, I will be headed over to my grandmother's house for an excessive amount of food, of course.  I plan to spend the evening plotting out my shopping adventure with Lust and heading to bed early.  Friday, I will meet up with Lust and we'll head to do some bargain shopping with the other crazies that are out.  I am looking forward to napping afterwards.  Then Friday evening we'll be doing another Thanksgiving with some friends, so that should be fun.  Saturday I am headed to DC with my mother to see the ballet.  We'll be spending the night (again, Lord help me) and coming home Sunday.  Sunday looks to have a soccer game, and hopefully some Christmas decorations will make their way out of the attic. 

I know it looks pretty busy - keep in mind I also have to manage to fit in some actual work, cleaning, and left over baking that needs to be done too!  I need a pumpkin pie for Thursday (yes, I am cursing myself now for thinking it would be easier to MAKE...right now, I would rather just BUY one.  Stupid.), and Rum Balls for Friday.  Busy Busy Busy!

I am also Thankful for many things, and I think I should make a point of saying that too.  I am very thankful for my dear Hubs, as  he is being so super helpful right now (as usual).  Love him very much, and appreciate him more than I tell him.  Very thankful for my friends and family.  Great bunch of people who also manage to keep me sane and laugh at my jokes, which I LOVE.  I am thankful I have a job that I am good at and that I enjoy.  I am thankful I have a home that I am looking forward to decorating this season.  Cheesey enough for you?

In other news, nothing else is going on.  So here are some other bits of randomness for you:

I am going to SHIT MY PANTS Black Friday shopping.  I don't do well with crowds or people in general, but I am all about getting a good deal.  I have a feeling that I am going to be seriously overwhelmed, and I am wondering if I should leave half my credit cards at home.

I have been eating excessively since Faux-giving at Crazytown.  I have already had turkey leftovers twice!  Plus, yesterday was Thanksgiving Pot Luck at the office, so I took care of business not only yesterday, but also today.  And tomorrow is going to be a complete shitshow with all the trimmings.  I hope to take pictures so you have an idea of JUST HOW MUCH FOOD there is.

I am a little pissy about the doctor's appointment tomorrow.  I was looking forward to spending some lazy time in bed with the Hubs, watching the parade, and making fun of the costumes and balloons and such.  I look forward to it every year, and it's not something you can DVR and watch later.  Has to be done Thanksgiving morning, or not at all.

I am also hoping to get some time this weekend to watch yesterday's episode of S.ons of A.narchy.  This is my new favorite show, and is fueling my desire to be a bad ass biker chick.

I had two different people invite me to lunch today, and I wish I could have gone.  I would rather get out of work earlier though.

Did I mention I am looking forward to going out tonight?  For a little bit at least?  I am hoping it's not Amature Night.
