Things I Cannot Live Without

This is really a list of "Things I Cannot Live Without These Past Couple Months Since Baby Arrived And Work Has Gotten More Demanding Than Is Necessary".

Kindle.

I use this thing ALL the time.  We did a big thing at our house...we canceled the cable (will post about that later).  Having something to read is AWESOME.  It is literally just like a book, and I think everyone ever should own one.  It is also a GODSEND when pumping...makes the time FLY by :)

Did you see the way my kid drools?  In order to prevent changing clothes 1,500 times a day, we live on bibs.  These from Target are the BEST, because there is a layer of plastic between the cloth, so the spit doesn't always seep through.  Worth the $7.99 investment.

Eyelash Curler.

Laugh if you must.  I love make up just as much as the next girly-girl, and I refuse to go 8 hours without reapplying mascara (I know, I know.  I never was that "always wear make up girl, but I love mascara.  LOVE.), but I can't be too terribly troubled to do much else with makeup.  I have a very simple routine that involves copious amounts of concealer and pressed powder, eyeliner, shadow, cream blush, and of course mascara.  This whole thing usually takes me about 3 and a half minutes, tops.  I have recently rediscovered my eyelash curler, and OMG, THE DIFFERENCE.  All of a sudden I look miles more AWAKE, which is awesome, especially with the work and the ridiculous sleep schedule.  I am pretty sure I originally dropped the eyelash curling step of my morning routine because I am super lazy, but never again.  It takes just an extra thirty seconds, and the capital investment is cheap.  Genius trick right here.  Ladies who need more sleep?  Try an eyelash curler first.

I have more things.  Many more things.  But I have been keeping this draft for a couple of days now, and I am about 4 posts behind my goal, so I might as well get this one posted.  What kinds of things are you finding you can't live without lately?

  1. yay! I love this list!
Today I was FINALLY cleared to wear mascara after a month of post-lasik follow ups (which is not normal, so don't let that freak you out). I could have kissed that doctor. Mascara is IMPORTANT! Now you've inspired me to find my eyelash curler...
