O. M. G., does that girl know where to go!
This was my prize find for the day. I didn't find it, but Mrs. 5C pointed it out to me, and I decided it must be mine.
For a whopping $8, this came home with me. Yay.
With a couple of coats of black spray paint, and a couple of heavy duty staples to reinforce the frame, it became beautiful again.
Yes, I do. They have been there since I received them as a mother's day gift, and I have surprisingly not killed them yet. They require very little watering, and little general maintenance, so I basically forget they are there. My bad, yo.
Anyway, I think my $8 bargain-find vintage poster fills my space nicely, and it has also inspired me to change my vision for the kitchen. I was playing with the idea of something blue in a frame there, but now I really (really) like the idea of yellow. I am thinking white cabinets, black countertops, and all my random colorful appliances and kitchen things (like my kiwi green Le Cruset French Oven...that thing is too heavy for me to ever put away, so it stays on the stove)...
I am a LONG ways away from doing anything major to my kitchen right now, but this artwork is just what I need! And who can argue with something so cheerful at the right price? :)
eeeeeeee!!! :) It's SO PRETTY!!! :) And I LOVE your kitchen color ideas!!
ReplyDeleteAlso... I like the orchid there! That's a gorgeous plant!
