I Turned 29, and YOU WIN

I turned 29 on Sunday, and I didn't even get a stupid t-shirt.  (Oh, wait I did.  Read on.)

Just kidding.  Sunday was my birthday, and The Hubs and I spent some time relaxing with eachother after a busy week.

But on Tuesday, that's when the REAL fun begins.  I got my birthday gift from the MIL.  And it wouldn't be the same if I couldn't share the fun, joy and excitement with you all!

So, without further ado, please let me present MIL BDay Gifts from 2010!

This first specimen is a long, almost floor length, seer sucker robe, complete with flower embroidery and awesome pastel colors.  This is not unlike the housecoat my (82 year old) Grandmother wears.  It's HOT.  It's got those big baggy sleeves, and kind of poofs up on the shoulders.  It's a size L, and is enormous.  She said she got it at Macy's, but there is not a tag to be found on it, except the label, which highlights the sassy designer, "Miss Elaine"  (which, after some research, is an actual brand sold at Macy's, and it's worth $40, on sale!  I could get something decent with that, if only there were tags...)

The second garment is a black Nautica T-shirt.  The label says that it is part of the Nautica Sleepwear line, but MIL commented in her note to me that it was nice enough to wear out during the day, so she didn't bother getting the pajama pants.  It is a plain, boxy tee with a white piping detail around the neckline.  Not horrible.  But then in her note she mentioned that the size L was probably too small for me, and the gift was better suited for my (petite) mother.  Um, thanks for the gift, then calling me fat, and telling me to give it to someone else.  Genius.  Fortunately, this DOES have a tag.

Both these amazing gifts were rolled up and stuffed in a shoebox and wrapped.  And yes, they came complete with the toxic stale cigarette smell.  Awesome.

Now that I have taken pictures, I think I am going to try my luck this weekend at Macy's and see what we can come up with.

Of course, I can't forget the obligatory sticker shot of the envelope! Isn't it pretty.  This is one of two envelopes that were covered, front and back, with a ridiculous amount of stickers.  For your viewing pleasure:

So what about ya'll?  Have you gotten and fun gifts recently?  Anything that can top these? :)
